Shopping
The Square and High Street are lined by interesting independent shops and businesses where your retail needs are looked after. It is a nice wide street with parking along either side, additional free parking is also provided by two adjacent car parks. Whether seriously or window shopping you can also stop for refreshments/lunches along the High Street.
The shopping street boasts a very good department store, a specialist baby to child shop, clothes shops, newsagent, card and stationery shops, a hardware shop, Pharmacy, book shop, gift shops and a large Post Office. You could buy gifts, holiday mementoes, clothes, furnish and carpet your house; or create your own distinctive pottery at the ceramics shop – the pottery shop is an excellent venue for children especially on rainy days; a new bakery has recently opened here. Not forgetting a delicatessen/sandwich shop and 1 medium sized Co Op and a small Mace supermarket. The retailers are very helpful and would try their best to help you with any purchases or point you in the right direction.
Even buy property at our 2 estate agents, Cockburns and Masson Cairns. At either end of the High Street are our 3 main building firms, Colin Lawson, Ronnie Laing and McLeods, who would build you a property should you wish to return here for a longer stay!
Grantown also hosts 3 banks along the High Street to help you with your finances. There is the Halifax Bank of Scotland, Lloyds and the Royal Bank of Scotland. 2 cash tills are outside 2 of these banks.
