It has been a reasonable start to the season. The weather has been mild most days and it has been a pleasure to be out on the river bank again. Wednesday was the only exception to that when a strong wind with driving snow made conditions unpleasant. The mild days coupled with frosty nights affect the river levels and the “diurnal” effect of daytime snow melt can be plainly seen.
